By Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 244 dated June 25, 2020, in order to provide initial training, retraining and advanced training of employees of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus, an educational institution “Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus” (hereinafter – the Institute) was established.
The head of the Institute was appointed Candidate of Legal Sciences, Colonel of Justice Kamenetsky Yuri Frantsevich, as deputies were appointed: Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Lieutenant Colonel of Justice Sosnovsky Alexander Alekseevich, and Colonel of Justice Kozak Denis Anatolyevich.
Departments of organization of preliminary investigation, management of preliminary investigation bodies, tactical and special training have been created in the structure of the educational institution.
According to the developed Statute of the Institute, approved by the Order of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus dated 14.07.2020 No. 148, the subject of the Institute’s activities are educational, educational and scientific activities carried out in accordance with the legislation.
The main objectives of the Institute are:
- meeting the needs of the state and society for highly qualified specialists for the Investigative Committee, other state bodies and organizations;
- scientific support of the educational process and practical activities of the Investigative Committee;
- formation of knowledge, skills and abilities of students in the field of pre-trial criminal proceedings and intellectual, moral, creative and physical development of the personality of students.
The main objectives of the Institute:
- professional development and retraining of personnel for the Investigative Committee, other state bodies and organizations;
- Implementation of initial training of the Investigative Committee staff;
- implementation of scientific activities in the field of pre-trial criminal proceedings;
- organizing and conducting ideological work in the spirit of patriotism, high citizenship, humanism, respect for the ideals and traditions of the Belarusian people;
- formation and development of the material and technical and experimental production base for the organization of the educational process and scientific research;
- providing scientific and methodological support for investigative work.
