Signing of a cooperation agreement between the Institute of the Investigative Committee and the Public Association “Belarusian Republican Youth Union”

On December 2, the management and staff of the Institute of the Investigative Committee met with the First secretary of the Central Committee of the Public Association “Belarusian Republican Youth Union” Alexander Lukyanov.A round table was held in the framework of the meeting, in the format of which the upcoming significant political event in the life of our society was discussed – a referendum on amendments to the Constitution. Alexander Lukyanov noted that it is extremely important to use the potential of the Institute in order to tell young people, citizens of our country, as competently as possible about the current legislation and upcoming innovations, since the events of last year showed that many of them, leaving a comment or posting a publication on social networks, do not know and do not think about the legal consequences of their actions. He also drew attention to the fact that one of the areas of work of the BRSM, fixed in the development strategy of the organization until 2025, was the legal education of young people. Cooperation between the BRSM and the Institute of the Investigative Committee contributes to raising the level of legal culture of the younger generation.

During the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Institute and the BRSM NGO. It involves interaction with the aim of increasing legal education, awareness of young people about the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, explaining the practice of applying Belarusian legislation, responsibility for violating one or another norm of administrative, criminal and other branches of law, as well as the prevention of offenses and crimes. It is implemented through joint forums, working meetings and other events, mutual consultations, and information exchange.
